BERLIN — Metrodome, the U.K. distribution subsidiary of German entertainment group TV-Loonland, has acquired U.K. rights to Swedish pics “A Hole in My Heart” from Lukas Moodysson, “Daybreak” from Bjorn Runge and Annette Olesen’s “In Your Hands” from Denmark.

“A Hole in My Heart” is Metrodome’s first pre-buy acquisition.

“Our success in recent months with “Spellbound” and “Monster” has enabled us to carry out our first pre-buy,” said Metrodome managing director Andrew Keyte. “Lukas Moodysson is simply our favorite director. After our success with ‘Together’ and ‘Lilya 4-Ever, we can’t wait to get working on this new film.”

“Daybreak,” a gritty ensemble drama about people living in a Swedish town who, in one way or another, are pushed to the edge, and “In Your Hands,” about a rookie prison chaplain whose faith is tested, both screened in competition at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

Metrodome’s other recent pickups include Venice Film Festival winner “Vodka Lemon,” Brazilian documentary “Bus 174,” Italian docu “The Last Victory” and Mark Achbar’s doc “The Corporation.”
