Nonprofit org awards positive Latino portrayals

The Imagen Foundation on Wednesday announced its finalists for the 2004 Imagen Awards.

“NYPD Blue” actress Jacqueline Obradors joined Helen Hernandez, founder and prexy of the foundation, for the announcement.

Imagen, a nonprofit organization founded in 1985, presents it annual kudos to individuals who help encourage positive media portrayal of Latinos.

Winners will be announced Aug. 26 at a gala in Beverly Hills.
