Luke Greenfield has launched his new production company with “The Untitled Destiny Project,” set up at New Regency. Company is also releasing Greenfield’s “The Girl Next Door” on March 12 through 20th Century Fox.
“Destiny Project” centers on an anxious young man who faces a near-death experience that gives him the power to see and remember his future. New Regency is looking for a writer to work from Greenfield’s story.
Greenfield will direct and produce. His producing partner, Juan Castro, is a co-producer with Chris Sheridan.
Matthew Siegel runs Greenfield’s as-yet-unnamed production company, based in Hollywood.
“I’ve been dying to make this movie for years now,” Greenfield told Daily Variety. “We had such a great experience at New Regency with ‘The Girl Next Door’ that it just seemed natural.”
Castro produced Greenfield’s short “The Right Hook,” which got the director his first feature gig with “The Animal.” Sheridan was a staff writer on “The Family Guy” and is a co-exec producer on the CBS sitcom “Yes, Dear.”
