French web TV5 to intro new award

World Brief

French web TV5 will introduce a new award for German films at the Berlin Film Fest, which kicks off on Feb. 5, judged by a jury of seven members between 19 and 28 years old.

The award, “Dialogue en perspective” is in co-operation with the French-German student exchange program.

It is aimed at raising the awareness of young French viewers for German cinema, following the success of Teutonic pic “Good Bye, Lenin” in France. TV5 is an international French-lingo channel targeting viewers beyond France’s borders.
