Babcock helps roll out studio's formats globally

Hayley Babcock has been promoted to senior VP of production for Fox World and will continue to report to Daniela Welteke, the unit’s exec VP. Fox World is Fox Television Studios’ international programming and production unit.

As Welteke’s lieutenant, Babcock plays an integral part rolling out Fox World’s formats worldwide.

Working closely with 20th Century Fox Television Distribution (which acts as the exclusive foreign distributor of the studio’s product), Babcock will collaborate with overseas broadcasters and production companies to develop and co-produce local versions of Fox World’s catalog of formats.

Since joining Fox World in 2001 as a VP, she has been involved in setting up local co-productions of numerous formats, including “Joe Millionaire,” in production in 12 territories, and “My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance,” set up in nine countries.

Prior to joining Fox World, Babcock served as director of international programming and production for King World/CBS, where she launched a number of international productions, including “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune.” Previously, she spent seven years in Germany working as a producer at Grundy/Fremantle and as head of entertainment at regional station 1A-Berlin.

    Film Review: 'Backtrace'
