NEW YORK — John Schmidt and Ed Pressman’s ContentFilm has pacted with Room 9 Entertainment to co-finance and co-produce two features, a bigscreen adaptation of the Christopher Buckley novel “Thank You for Smoking” and the Shakespearean teen comedy “Queen Lara.”
Jason Reitman will write and direct “Smoking,” which is slated to star Aaron Eckhart and will begin lensing next year.
“Lara” a reworking of “King Lear,” will be helmed by Lev Spiro.
