Film fest gets new name, local coin

The Paris Film Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary this spring by renaming itself the Festival de Paris Ile-de-France and adding screening locations from the Champs-Elysees to Paris suburbs.

Expansion of the fest, running March 28-April 5, will be funded by a e275,000 ($365,750) grant from the regional councils of the greater Paris area. Fest prexy is Isabelle Adjani, and programmer is Franco-American Caroline Mitchell.
