SYDNEY — Micky Dolenz is getting ready to say “G’day L.A.”
Pic centers on two brothers living in the outback who dream of going to California and meeting their pin-up gal. They get the chance when the sperm from their champion camel is inadvertently sold to the owner of a stud horse in California.
Dolenz will the direct the pic. Script is co-written by Russell Cunningham, an American who has lived in Oz for 20 years, and Rick Shaw, a U.S. writer whose credits include “The Nanny” and “The Jeffersons.”
Due to roll Down Under next April, film will topline Ronen Stoliar and Clayton Watson as the brothers. Former “WWE Smackdown” star Nathan Jones (“Troy”) will play the American stud owner, with Brande Roderick as the boys’ dream girl.
Reiko Bradley’s Becker Films Intl. is pitching the project to buyers at the AFM.
Financed by private Oz investors, pic will be produced by Cunningham’s RLC Motion Picture Entertainment..
