Cinemavault closes pix deals

Rights to 6 titles include 'Warrior,' '3D,' 'Terror'

Cinemavault Releasing Intl. has finalized rights deals for six of its titles at AFM, including licensing titles to the U.K., France, Italy, Spain and Japan.

Pics are “Dark Warrior,” “Girls in 3D,” “Terror Island,” “Tom White,” “The Wannabes” and “Gruesome.”

“Dark Warrior,” a martial- arts pic helmed by and starring Jason Yee, has been licensed to Antarctic Video, (France), Tot Media (Spain), Film Entertainment Group, (Benelux), Intermedya (part of former Soviet Union), Mirius Tuck (former Yugoslavia), Village Road Show (Greece), Surya Abadi, (Indonesia), Cine Video (Mexico/Central America), Vision Films (Poland), LNK Video (Portugal), ETV (South Africa), New World Pictures (Thailand) and Fono Films (Turkey). Pic is in post-production.

Also in post-production is “Girl in 3D,” an S&M love story that has been licensed to New Select (Japan), Third Millennium (U.K.), Mirius Tuck, Video Sonic (Greece), Vision Films and New World Pictures.

“Terror Island” has been licensed to EP Prods., (Italy), Third Millennium, Rapi Films (Indonesia), New World Pictures, Video Sonicand Mirius Tuck. Pic is in post-production.

Colin Friels and Rachael Blake star in “Tom White” which has been licensed to Kamer Ton (former Soviet Union), Village Road Show (Greece), Intersonic (Hungary/Czech), New World Pictures and Magic Films (Spain).

The action comedy “The Wannabes,” helmed by and starring Australian comedian Nick Giannopoulos, has been licensed to Light House (U.K.), LPR (Brazil), Village Road Show and New World Pictures.

“Gruesome,” a creature feature that starts principal photography in January, has been pre-sold to IPA (Thailand), Rapi Films, Cine Video, Pyramid (former Soviet Union), Village Roadshow, Pioneer Films (Philippines) and LNK Video.
