Indie banner ThinkFilm has calculated a deal to acquire French writer-helmer Francois Ozon’s latest feature, “5×2,” from sales banner Celluloid Dreams.
Told backward, the film focuses on five chapters in a couple’s romantic life, from their divorce to the birth of their first child, wedding night and initial attraction. Stephane Freiss and Valerie Bruni-Tedeschi star.
Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc produced through Fidelite Prods.
Pic preemed at the Venice Film Festival, and also screened at the Toronto Intl Film Fest.
ThinkFilm is contemplating a spring rollout.
Celluloid’s Hengameh Panahi and Charlotte Mickie brokered the deal with ThinkFilm’s Mark Urman, Randy Manis and Daniel Katz.
