NEW YORK — Focus Features has restructured its more closely aligned production and acquisitions divisions under recently installed production prexy John Lyons, with new dimensions for key execs Amy Kaufman and Jason Resnick, among others.
Moving over to concentrate exclusively on production, Kaufman trades her most recent title of exec VP, acquisitions and co-productions, to become exec VP of production, while Resnick moves up from the VP spot to head the acquisitions office and lead the Focus buying team at Sundance.
Both execs will report directly to Lyons. The positions of exec VP of production Joe Pichirallo, production veep Kahli Small and creative exec Kate Petrosky remain unchanged.
London-based VP of acquisitions Lee Magiday will expand her responsibilities to become VP, acquisitions & productions, Europe. She reports to Resnick on acquisitions and to Kaufman on production. Acquisitions manager John Hodges continues in that capacity.
Lyons said, “I’m particularly pleased to be better able to take advantage of the acquisitions team’s reach around the world. Now they will be more closely allied with the production department, thereby maximizing all of our strengths.”
Lyons replaced Glenn Williamson as Focus production chief in July.
