HOLLYWOOD — After “The Merchant of Venice” Variety screening Nov. 21, producer Cary Brokaw talked about how Al Pacino‘s deity status in Italy aided access for the filmmakers.
“I think of Al as a god here too,” Brokaw added.
“I just think it’s time for me to run for office,” Pacino responded.
When it comes to choosing parts, the actor admitted he sometimes “looks in the bank book.”
“I think it’s a good idea from time to time, to not do anything for awhile,” he explained. “You find that your appetites can become more tuned and more sharp. Sometimes when your appetite is dull, when something tasteful comes along, you don’t recognize it because you’re just eating.”
Pete Hammond led the ArcLight Q&A.
