Variety and international distributor UIP have announced plans for the second annual London Party, the charity soiree that takes place the night before the BAFTA film awards in February.
Feb. 11 event will be at London’s Wallace Collection, which houses one of the most important art collections bequeathed to the U.K.
“After the tremendous success of last year’s London Party with Variety, it’s a great pleasure to begin plans for what promises to be an even more special evening during next year’s BAFTA week,” says UIP topper Stewart Till.
BAFTA week culminates in the presentation of awards on Feb. 12.
The 2004 London Party attracted such honorees and presenters as Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Coppola, Naomi Watts and Benicio Del Toroand all proceeds from the event will go to U.K.-based children’s charity Facing the World.
Entertainment this year will be by U.K. soul songstress Amy Winehouse.
