MADRID — Time Warner has inked a cable carriage deal with Spanish pubcaster Radiotelevision Espanola (RTVE) for three channels to air on TW’s DTV Spanish package in parts of New York.
General entertainment feed TVE-Intl., news service Canal 24 Horas and docu channel Grandes Documentales will bow July 1.
Programming highlights include Spanish national soccer, drama series “Cuentame como paso,” talent reality hit “Operacion Triunfo” and four Spanish or Latin American movies a week.
Deal follows a similar recent agreement for carriage of the three channels on Comcast. RTVE aims to expand into Canada.
