Soccer reality show scores more sales

BUENOS AIRES — Beirut-based production company Signature Prods. has optioned the Middle East rights to Argentine reality soccer show “Camino a la gloria” (The Road to Glory) from Argentina’s Cuatro Cabezas.

Deal involves 22 countries including Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, the Palestinian territories, Saudia Arabia and Somalia.

Argentina’s Leda Films brokered the deal, one of its first for Cuatro Cabezas since agreeing in January to represent its formats in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the U.S. Spanish-lingo market. Show has already sold widely around the world. “Camino” follows 20 young people as they vie for the chance to play soccer professionally.
