SYDNEY– Pubcaster Australian Broadcasting Corp. has brought its commercial arms including program sales, retailing and merchandizing, under one roof
The restructured ABC Enterprises will be headed by Robyn Watts, currently director of the content rights management division, which will shutter June 30.
The new unit will include ABC retail, ABC consumer publishing, content sales and ABC Prods (resource hire).
The aim is to separate ABC’s commercial and editorial activities and give a more focused approach to business development.
Concurrently, Helen Thwaites, the ABC’s head of acquisition business management, has been appointed business affairs manager, commissioned content, in business affairs.
Kaye Warren, formerly head of content sales, has been named manager business affairs acquisitions, in business affairs.
James Cuming takes on the new role of general manager ABC content sales.
