Viva “Las Vegas.”
NBC has greenlit the back-nine episodes of the Sin City drama, giving the NBC Studios/DreamWorks Television skein a full season order of 22 episodes. It’s the Peacock’s first pick up of the new season, and one the few bright spots for the net in what has been a rocky fall launch.
“It’s no secret that ‘Las Vegas’ has been very good luck for NBC on Monday nights since its premiere and the public wants more of the glitz and glamour,” NBC Entertainment prexy Jeff Zucker said. “We feel this series is only just beginning to gain traction and has unlimited potential through the rest of the year.”
“Las Vegas,” from exec producers Gary Scott Thompson and Gardner Stern, ranks as the season’s top new drama among adults 18-49. Airing Mondays at 9 p.m., it’s been a steady performer in the four weeks since it bowed, averaging a 4.6/11 in adults 18-49 despite stiff competish from “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Monday Night Football.”
Scott Steindorff, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are also exec producers.
“Las Vegas” joins Fox’s “The O.C.” and UPN’s “Eve” and “All of Us” on the frosh pickup list.
