HOLLYWOOD — Don Johnson has come aboard to topline and co-exec produce the TNT made-for “Word of Honor,” one of eight original telepics slated for the upcoming season.
Project is based on the bestselling Nelson DeMille novel about a Vietnam vet and successful businessman whose world is threatened when he is accused of a murder that occurred 30 years earlier.
Robert Markowitz (“The Tuskegee Airmen”) will direct the teleplay from Jacob Epstein (“Without a Trace”), Leslie Greif and Tom Topor (“Perfect Murder, Perfect Town”). Pic will begin lensing at the end of the month.
Johnson last appeared in Peter Greenaway’s “The Tulse Luper Suitcases: The Moab Story,” which screened at Cannes.
Michael Jaffe, Howard Braunstein, Lance Robbins, Greif and Wendy Hill-Tout are exec producers.
