HOLLYWOOD — Jamie Foxx will take the ball as host of the ESPYs.
Foxx, whose film career is packed with sports pics including “Ali” and “Any Given Sunday,” will emcee the event July 16 from the Kodak Theater. ESPN will televise the 11th edition of the event live.
The ESPY Awards honor athletes for their accomplishments over the previous year.
“I’m looking forward to sharing the evening with the sports elite, especially since my hosting responsibilities afford me the right to have fun with any and all of them,” Foxx said. “It should be a great night.”
