Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

CBS scored a rather easy ratings victory on Monday, capturing five of six half-hours among adults 18-49 behind its “Everybody Loves Raymond”-led comedy block and drama “CSI: Miami,” according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

“Raymond” (5.8/15 in adults 18-49, 17.5 million viewers overall) was the evening’s No. 1 program, and “CSI: Miami” (5.3/14 in adults 18-49, 16 million viewers overall) led easily at 10. Net also received strong laffer scores at 8:30 from “Yes, Dear” (slot-leading 4.6/13 in adults 18-49), which built on its “King of Queens” lead-in by about 20%, and at 9:30 from “Still Standing” (4.8/12 in adults 18-49), which retained a solid 83% of its “Raymond” lead-in.

Fox saw reality series “Married by America” (3.9/11 in adults 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) finish with its best numbers, including a slot-winning 5.4/14 among adults 18-49 at 9:30. The two-hour episode improved with each half-hour, helping the net win the night in adults 18-34 (4.3/14).

NBC was in a close battle for Fox for second on the night in 18-49, led by an original episode of “Third Watch” at 9 (4.3/11 in adults 18-49, 10.9 million viewers overall).

ABC was again overwhelmed, led by a distant fourth-place finish at 8 for a John Stossel news special (1.9/6 in adults 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 4.9/14; NBC, 4.0/11; Fox, 3.9/11; ABC, 1.8/5.

In total viewers: CBS led with 14.6 million.
