Craig Media takes NFL Monday Night rights

Craig Media has snapped up exclusive rights to the English-lingo broadcast of NFL’s Monday Night Football for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

The agreement covers terrestrial webs A-Channel Edmonton, A-Channel Calgary and A-Channel Manitoba as well as a new channel skedded to launch in Toronto in September called Toronto One.

This is the first time that a terrestrial station has bagged exclusive rights to the live broadcast.

Craig also owns CKX TV Brandon, and specialty channels MTV Canada, MTV2, TVLand and Stampede.
