Stars volley USA Net’s tennis party

No Williams sisters, but plenty of celebs

Boldfaced names trekked to the outer borough Monday night to celebrate the opening night of the 2003 U.S. Open in Queens.

Ellen Burstyn, Kim Cattrall, Lili Taylor and Susan Lucci were among the guests at Aces for USA Network’s kick off party. Event also marked channel’s 20th anni of Open coverage.

“It’s one of the longest-running programming relationships in the cable business,” beamed channel’s prexy, Doug Herzog, who initiated opening night party tradition three years ago.

Herzog, a self-described “casual tennis fan,” confessed to taking a car service to Flushing Meadows but insisted he would ride the 7 train over the weekend to check out more matches.

Also on hand: USA’s “Dead Zone” star Anthony Michael Hall, “Restaurant” chef Rocco DiSpirito and Sally Field.
