Preems show their colors

Carpets take on new hues for theme bows

Warners has been rolling out the black carpet for “The Matrix Reloaded” around the world, while rival studios opt for their own hues.

Disney chose ocean blue for its “Finding Nemo” bow, while Fox went for a darker navy at the “X2” debut. The carpet turned appropriately green for the opening of the new “Shrek 3-D” attraction at Universal Studios. And Warners chose cream for “The In-Laws” to accommodate the nuptials performed at the bow.

However, carpet colors haven’t caught on everywhere: When the Matrix sequel bowed at Cannes, the stars walked down the fest’s traditional red carpet.
