Jerry Weintraub‘s pals turned out Thursday for a picnic feting the veteran producer.
The “Teddy Bear Picnic” luncheon was not meant to celebrate Weintraub’s long showbiz career or even stuffed animals. Rather, it honored him for his support for a number of charities including the Help Group, which provides services to developmentally disabled, autistic and/or abused kids.
“When I started, Jerry was an idol,” Brian Grazer said. “He’s one of the few people in this business who can actually do everything.”
The crowd included James Caan, Brendan Fraser, Terry Semel, Alan Horn, Steve Gutenberg, Elliot Gould, and Tony Danza.
