S Factor Studio opens its doors with free intro class

HOLLYWOOD — Pole-dancing workouts climbed to center stage for a cocktail party-cum-open house at Hollywood’s S Factor Studio June 14. Thesp Sheila Kelley, the founder of the studio and top instructor, described the S Factor dancing regimen as “an athletic, genuine, female workout.”

Kelley’s S Factor soiree celebrated in the company of men and women, however, with husband Richard Schiff of “The West Wing” providing his full support. Schiff did express nostalgia about one routine that ended last month, when his wife relocated her 2-year-old studio from their home office: reading scripts “right around the time class started and ended.”

S Factor member Annabeth Gish enjoyed the demos along with Dule Hill and Chris Isaak. Sela Ward and former “Wonder Years” thesp Danica McKellar, meanwhile, picked up the free intro class, designated females only.
