Tommy Perkins, former drummer for Bob Wills died June 7 from injuries from a car accident on the H.E Bailey Turnpike in Oklahoma. He was 69.

Perkins, who lived in Oklahoma City, was returning from the 16th annual Legends of Western Swing Music Festival in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he had performed the night before.His performances with included the 1950 recording of “Faded Love,” when the drummer was just 15.
