Sue Ayling, one of the most successful BBC television talks producers, died of cancer March 20 in Britain.

She was known for her ability to find unique guests and handle cantankerous hosts.

Brighton native was also known for being bright, pretty stylish and friendly. She started as a teacher and then TV researcher, joining BBC News in 1970.

She became a freelance journalist and television producer in the 1980s and was producer of “Question Time” 1994-98.

She is survived by former husband David Dickinson two children.
