Actress Lesley Woods died Aug. 2 of natural causes in Los Angeles. She was 90.
Longtime member and supporter of Theatre West, she last appeared on its stage several seasons ago in the comedy “Tom Tom on a Rooftop” with Betty Garrett and Philip Abbott. She also donated the marquee that adorns the theater.
Her career began with several Broadway shows, including “A Case of Libel” where she met her husband, the late actor Richard McMurray.
In television she worked as a series regular or continuing character in numerous shows, primarily soaps, including “Young Dr. Malone,” “A Flame in the Wind,” “The Edge of Night,” “The Nurses” (with McMurray), “Search for Tomorrow,” “Bright Promise,” “Return to Peyton Place,” “General Hospital,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Dear Detective,” “Dallas,” “Falcon Crest,” “All My Children” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” where she made her final TV appearance as Helen Logan in 2001.
She also appeared in several feature films, the most recent being “Nurse Betty” in 2000.
She is survived by a stepson, actor Sam McMurray.
A memorial ceremony will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Theatre West, 3333 Cahuenga Blvd.
