Former Denver Post critic and entertainment writer Arlynn Nellhaus died May 20 during heart surgery in Jerusalem. She was 74.
She wrote movie, ballet, art, music and theater reviews for The Post from 1969 to 1987. She interviewed celebrities from Harry Belafonte to Carol Channing. Nellhaus played the flute, piano and guitar and taught music in Illinois, Ohio and Massachusetts. After retiring, she moved to Israel, where she freelanced for the Jerusalem Post and The Denver Post and wrote a travel book, “The Heart of Jerusalem.” Nellhaus is survived by two daughters and two sons; a sister; and nine grandchildren.
