UPN will throw a memorial celebration Friday, June 20, for Charles Barile, its longtime publicist who died suddenly late last month.
Event, to be hosted by the netlet and Barile’s family, will be held at 6 p.m. at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills.
Barile died May 31 while on vacation in San Felipe, Mexico. His death stunned former and current colleagues at UPN, who moved quickly to organize this week’s tribute.
“This is our chance to take the microphone and share reminisces, anecdotes and (somewhat) true tales of a legendary Hollywood character who lived large, loved life and did it all with inimitable style,” the event organizers said.
Barile had worked in UPN’s media relations department since 1999, handling programs such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “WWE Smackdown.” Call (818) 977-6927 to RSVP.
