‘Skin’ rubs Moffett; ‘Eddie’ ready

Cruthird joins Ripa in 'Hope and Faith'

D.W. Moffett has been touched by Fox’s “Skin,” while young thesp Josh Hutcherson has scored the role of Eddie in the WB’s revival of “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.”

Deals rep some of the latest talent pacts, as the pilot casting process continues along the home stretch. Here’s the latest:

  • Moffett (“For Your Love”) has joined the cast of Fox drama pilot “Skin,” from Warner Bros. TV and Jerry Bruckheimer Prods., in the role of Skip Ziti.

    Project is described as a modern-day “Romeo and Juliet” set against the backdrop of the adult film sector. Jim Leonard, Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman serve as exec producers.

    Credits for Moffett, who is repped by 3 Arts and Innovative, include turns on “CSI: Miami” and “Crossing Jordan.”

  • Hutcherson, who has joined “Eddie’s Father, is repped by Ric Beddingfield and CED. He also appears opposite Tom Hanks in the upcoming feature “Polar Express.” “Eddie’s Father” comes from Warner Bros. TV and Pariah; Jay Kogen and Gavin Polone are exec producers.

    Hutcherson’s other credits include a guest role on “ER.”

  • Meanwhile, newcomer Macy Cruthird has climbed aboard the ABC comedy pilot “Hope and Faith” as the daughter of Kelly Ripa’s character.

    Cruthird is repped by Beddingfield and Innovative. “Hope and Faith,” from Touchstone, revolves around a soap opera star who’s forced to move in with her housewife sister. Industry’s Keith Addis, Emile Levisetti and Michael Edelstein are exec producers, along with scribe Joanna Johnson.

    Also joining the cast of “Hope and Faith” is Harve Presnell (“Old School,” “Mr. Deeds”) in the role of Jack.
