Resfest reels in Gondry

Artists converge on traveling exhibition

During its four-day Gotham stint, Resfest attracted aspiring artists more concerned with finessing frames per minute than finagling gross points.

Seven-year-old traveling exhibition, which showcases music, technology and design, concluded Sunday with a sold-out retrospective of the work of Michel Gondry followed by a Q&A. The opening query about his inspiration stumped the unassuming Gallic helmer, who uses everything from time-lapse photography to stop-action animation with Lego parts in his work. “That is very vast for a first question,” Gondry replied.

Moby, Cibo Matto and DJ King Britt came out to salute Gondry.
