NBC Entertainment has tapped Craig Plestis VP of alternative programs. He previously served as veep of on-air promotions for net marketing arm the NBC Agency.
Plestis, who reports to exec VP of longform/alternative Jeff Gaspin, will oversee the development of alternative series programs. He is currently responsible for unscripted skeins “For Love or Money,” “The Apprentice” and “Who Wants to Marry My Dad?”
“We are excited to welcome Craig to the programming side,” Gaspin said. “He has demonstrated many instincts and talents while in the on-air promotions department that we can use in overseeing and developing new reality series programming.”
Plestis previously oversaw the on-air promotion of the net’s dramas, alternative series, movies and minis.
L.A.-based Plestis began with the NBC Agency in 1997 as a freelance writer and producer. Prior to joining the net, he worked as a producer at Notorious Pictures, where he did promotion for such clients as UPN. At advertising agency Jacobson-Gerber, he handled on-air promotion for CBS.
