Fox funny lady Tracy Katsky is ankling her post as senior VP of comedy development. Katsky’s deal with the net expires this month, and rather than re-up, exec has decided not to seek a new pact. Both Katsky and a Fox rep declined comment.
It’s unclear what Katsky’s next move will be. Industry insiders said she has already been approached about various gigs, but it’s expected she’ll sit a spell before deciding what to do.
In the meantime, Fox execs have already began looking for her replacement. An announcement is expected shortly, with Kat-sky expected to depart sometime this summer.
During her three-year stint at Fox, Katsky helped develop a mix of skeins such as “The Bernie Mac Show,” “Andy Richter Controls the Universe,” “Cedric the Entertainer Presents” and “Wanda at Large.” She came to Fox from Regency Television, where she worked with current Fox Entertainment prexy (and former Regency TV topper) Gail Berman to develop “Malcolm in the Middle.”
