Inside move: Barberie typecast in ‘Miami’

Weathergirl expands resumé with laffer

KTTV weatherbabe Jillian Barberie is headed back to “Miami.”

Barberie, who seems to hold down a million jobs, is adding another one to her resume, booking a role on NBC’s Warner Bros. TV-produced laffer “Good Morning, Miami” as — spoiler alert!– a weathergirl. Anchor/thesp will appear on the second episode of the season, but her deal has an option behind it that could make Barberie a recurring presence on “Miami.”

In addition to knowing a thing or two about weathercasting, Barberie is no stranger to Miami: Before joining KTTV, she worked at Miami’s WSVN.

Besides her anchor duties on “Good Day” and “Good Day Live!,” Barberie hosts syndie skein “Ex-treme Dating” and has made regular appearances on Fox’s NFL coverage. She’s also no stranger to acting, having popped up on skeins such as “Yes, Dear,” “Fastlane” and “Arliss.”

Even if “Miami” becomes a regular gig, Barberie is expected to stay put at KTTV.
