NEW YORK — Cabler Comcast on Wednesday named political fund-raiser Melissa Maxfield senior director for federal government affairs in Washington, D.C.
She will serve as one of Comcast’s senior lobbyists focused on Congress and the White House starting July 23.
Maxfield has most recently done fund-raising for several high-profile Democratic PACs, including Dedicated Americans for the Senate and the House, where she was responsible for political outreach on behalf of Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle.
Before that she served with the Senatorial Campaign Committee as political liaison for Daschle, and she has held senior fund-raising positions with Sens. Daschle, Dick Durbin and Bob Kerrey.
