The Style Network has unveiled a lineup of eight original series for the fall season.
Upcoming are “Style Court,” a courtroom series in the vein of “Judge Judy” in which people are tried for their fashion crimes, and “Clean House,” a one-hour reality skein hosted by comedian Niecy Nash in which Style teams overhaul unkempt homes.
Other new programming includes “Guess Who’s Coming to Redecorate?” which reunites past friends and flames and lets them redesign a room in an ex-acquaintance’s home — for better or worse. Trend expert Jane Buckingham dispenses advice on career, cooking and coquetry in the half-hour skein “Modern Girl’s Guide to Life,” and “A Second Look” will provide makeovers to homeless men and women in transitional situations.
“Original programming development is clearly on top of the agenda at Style,” senior VP of programming Stephen Schwartz said. Rounding out the slate are “Dark Side of Style,” which explores the underbelly of the beauty biz; “The Wedding Planner,” which chronicles the life of a matrimonial maven; and gameshow “Mall or Nothing.”
Launched in 1998, the E! Networks-owned cable net reaches 31 million subscribers.
