‘Pizza’ preem delivers mayhem

Celeb spotlight dim, but there was pole dancing!

SYDNEY — The world preem for Village Roadshow’s micro-budget grossout comedy “Fat Pizza” generated organized mayhem March 30 in downtown Sydney. Faux police and a dozen barely dressed cheerleaders pursued writer-director-producer-star Paul Fenech, aka Pauly the Pizza Boy, through the cinema.

The after-party at the nearby Pure Platinum strip club was crowded wall-to-wall and steamy. Co-stars Tahir Bilgic, Paul Nakad, Johnny Boxer and Maria Venuti joined strippers in some tongue-in-cheek pole dancing and runway carousing.

Model Annalise Braakensiek and Channel V’s Jabba, both in the pic, also attended the otherwise celebrity-free event. Pic, a spinoff from the cult “Pizza” series that airs on foreign-lingo broadcaster SBS, is skedded for general release Down Under April 10.
