Oscar Watch: Marisa Tomei

Thesp to join Acad prexy as nom announcer

Oscar winner Marisa Tomei will join Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences prexy Frank Pierson Tuesday in announcing nominations for the 75th Anniversary Academy Awards.

The pair will unveil the noms in 10 of the 24 categories at a 5:38 a.m. news conference.

Tomei won the supporting actress Oscar in 1993 for “My Cousin Vinny” and received a second nomination last year, also in the supporting actress category, for “In the Bedroom.” Thesp will next be seen in “Anger Management” opposite Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler.

Oscarcast will be held March 23 at the Kodak Theater.
