Kate Hudson will present the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Scientific and Technical Awards, skedded for March 1 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire.
Three Oscar statuettes will be among the 14 awards presented at the kudocast, which fetes devices, methods, formulas, discoveries or inventions of special and outstanding value to the arts and sciences of motion pictures.
Portions of the presentation will be taped for inclusion in the March 23 Academy Awards broadcast. Hudson will appear live on the Oscarcast to introduce the sci-tech segment. This will mark her second appearance as a presenter at the Oscars.
Hudson, currently onscreen in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” received a nom in 2000 in the supporting actress category for “Almost Famous.”
