‘Odyssey’ taken by Hong Kong crix

Helmer Jeff Lau’s comedy “Chinese Odyssey 2002” has won the Hong Kong Film Critics Society 2002 film honors.

Faye Wong took the actress award for her role in the pic as a princess masquerading as a man to live among the people.

Director kudos went to Peter Chan for “Going Home,” his contribution to the omnibus horror flick “Three.”

Indie king Fruit Chan took screenplay for “Hollywood Hong Kong,” about a Chinese woman’s struggle to survive against the backdrop of the economic woes of Hong Kong.

Veteran Anthony Wong was voted best actor for his role as a police chief in last year’s big local Christmas release “Infernal Affairs”.

The vote took place Jan. 18 and the awards ceremony will be held at the end of February.
