Miramax’s Kane segues to R&C PR

Gotham-based exec will report to CEO Tardio

HOLLYWOOD — Teri Kane has been appointed executive VP of the film and digital entertainment group of PR firm Rogers & Cowan.

Kane, to be based in New York, will report to Tom Tardio, CEO of R&C and will be responsible for the development and implementation of creative media strategies for the agency’s domestic motion picture business as well as support for technology and consumer goods companies with film marketing interests and platform.

Kane joins the company after nine years at Miramax Films, where she was most recently senior VP of publicity. During her time there she was responsible for the individual campaigns for such pics as “Shakespeare in Love” and “The English Patient.”

Prior to joining Miramax in 1994, Kane was senior VP of publicity at Clein, Feldman and White PR, where she was a senior account publicist for such clients as Fine Line Features and the William Morris Agency.

She began her career in film production and worked on such pics as “Raging Bull,” “Kramer vs Kramer” and “Reds.”

Fluent in Italian, Kane lived in Italy where she created and taught in an international after-school center. She later served as an Italian interpreter for Sergio Leone on “Once Upon a Time in America” and for Joe Pesci on the Italian pic “Tutti Dentro.”
