‘Lennon’ gets help from Institute

Danish director Jesper W. Nielsen, whose “Okay” was a critical and audience favorite, has received $800,000 from the Danish Film Institute for “Don’t You Know John Lennon?,” a new comedy from “Okay” writer Kim Fupz Aakeson.

Thomas Bo Larsen and Lene Maria Christensen will play the leads in the Angel Films production, which follows a petty criminal who has spent his time in jail writing songs for his old rock group.
