Danish film org taps new exec

COPENHAGEN — The Swedish Film Institute’s feature film consultant, Lena Hansson-Varhegyi, will leave her job for a similar position at the Danish Film Institute, the DFI board announced Monday. A former head of production at the Swedish Institute, and producer for Swedish pubcaster SVT, Hansson-Varhegyi will replace Vinca Wiedemann on Sept. 15.

Wiedemann will take over as head of Talent Development, a new fund established by the Danish Film Institute and the public broadcasters that she will run with producer Jens Arnoldus. The DFI board also extended managing director Henning Camre’s contract, due to expire in 2004, by two years.
