Samuel Goldwyn Films has picked up U.S. rights to musical romance “Anything but Love.”
Directed by Robert Cary, pic (previously known as “Standard Time”) concerns an aspiring singer who must choose between domestic security and a cabaret career. Story is told with musical interludes in the style of the grand 1950s Technicolor musicals.
Film stars Isabel Rose, Andrew McCarthy and Eartha Kitt.
Goldwyn prexy Meyer Gottlieb and Ben Feldman negotiated for the distributor; producers Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins repped the pic.
Goldwyn plans a fall release. Distrib’s current releases are “Raising Victor Vargas” and “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.”
