Disney toons duo to adapt ‘Three Pigs’

Adaptation to combine computer, traditional animation

Scribes Grant Calof and Greg Lee have been tapped by Disney Feature Animation to adapt children’s book “The Three Pigs.”

Award-winning book, written by David Wiesner, updates the traditional tale and follows the pigs’ adventures into other fairy-tale worlds.

Pic is expected to combine computer and traditional animation.

Disney Animation director of development Karen Rupert and creative exec Birk Rawlings will supervise project.

Calof and Lee, who are repped by Brad Rosenfeld at Preferred Artists and Jonathan Hung at MBST Entertainment, are rewriting Constantin Film and Permut Presentations’ comedy “Blind Sided” as a starring vehicle for Rob Schneider. Broad comedy concerns a man who regains his sight after being blind most of his life only to find out the world is a very different place from what he had imagined.

Duo also sold “Class Clowns” to Sony for Cathy Konrad to produce.
