Bibi pic gets $1 mil of funding

Germany’s federal film funding body FFA has slated roughly $1 million for the follow-up to children’s film “Bibi Blocksberg.”

The witch tale for kids was the only domestic production in 2002 to attract 2 million viewers, its sequel will be produced by Bavaria and directed by Franziska Buche.

FFA handed out $2.5 million for production of five local pics, including a sequel to teen comedy “Madchen, Madchen,” (Girls on Top).
