Zarpas goes to Evolution

Exec touts producer credits for 'G.I. Jane,' 'Clay Pigeons'

Chris Zarpas will join Evolution Management as a manager and producer starting in July.

Zarpas most recently had an overall producing deal with East Coast TV studio New Dominion Pictures. Before that, he was co-president and CEO of Scott Free Pictures, Ridley and Tony Scott’s production shingle.

At Evolution, Zarpas will focus on bolstering the company’s writer and director client base and utilizing his studio exec and production experience.

Post reteams him with his former Island Pictures co-prexy Mark Burg, who founded Evolution with Oren Koules in 1998.

As an indie producer, Zarpas’ credits include “G.I. Jane,” “Clay Pigeons,” “Where the Money Is” and “RKO 281.”

“With Chris on board, we are well positioned to continue growing our film and television production capability as well as creating new opportunities for our writer and director clients,” Koules said.
