This article was corrected on June 3, 2003.

Robin Williams and Brittany Murphy have joined the cast to voice key roles in Warner Bros./Village Roadshow Pictures’ upcoming toon feature “Happy Feet” (aka “The Kingdom”).

Directed by George Miller, pic was written by Miller, John Collee, Warren Coleman and Judy Morris.

An Antarctica-set CGI-animated comedy with musical and dance elements, “Happy Feet” involves a young penguin, Mumble (Elijah Wood), with an unusual gift who finds the heart to pursue his dream.

Williams will voice four characters in the movie, including the pivotal role of the film’s narrator Noah the elder, as well as the voices of Adelie penguins Ramone and Lovelace and that of an elephant seal.

Murphy voices Mumble’s girlfriend.

Pic is being produced in Australia through Miller’s Kennedy/Miller Prods., with Doug Mitchell and Miller producing.

Warner Bros. senior VP of production Courtenay Valenti and creative exec David Beaubaire are overseeing the pic with Village Roadshow’s Dana Goldberg.

Williams is repped by CAA and managed by MBST Entertainment. Murphy is repped by ICM and The Firm.
