Senator Intl. has seen key territory sales on its own production “Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” and four other pics.
They are two pics sourced from Gold Circle Films — Michael Keaton starrer “White Noise” and romantic comedy “Something Borrowed” — and Sean Penn starrer “The Assassination of Richard Nixon” and “Lazarus Child,” a Eagle/Aurum/Hachette/ Illusions co-prod.
“Harold & Kumar” has sold to strong distribs in major territories such as Australia (Village Roadshow), Spain (Aurum), Latin America (Europe) and Benelux (RCV).
“White Noise” has closed in Spain (Vertigo) and Benelux (Dutch Filmworks), “Something” in Spain (Vertigo) and Scandinavia (Egmont), “Assassination” in Japan (Cinema Parisien).
All five films have sealed deals with smaller territories.
“This has been an extraordinarily prosperous market,” says Senator Intl. prexy Joe Drake.
“It comes down in the end to the attractiveness of individual pieces of material.”
